Barcelona 6/24 Report
I don't see any postings on here really but here is how we did in case it's helpful to someone.
Arrived at the launch at 9 and the parking lot was almost full. Wind forecast was accurate and by 11:00 it was about 10 mph out of the west. We had 1-2 footers mostly with an occasional 3.
Didn't see many boats so I assume the few that weren't straight North all went West. We fished the same area and depth of water as the last trip. Fish were in 57-62 fow for us. Water temp 67.5 degrees. I ran the same program with bandits and 5 oz. Snapweights off the Offshore boards. I had 2 guys with me so we ran 8 rods. Like last time they wanted the baits with chrome and flash. The two best were a chrome perch pattern with an orange belly and a mostly chrome bait with a purple head and some colored dots. There were fish up high at 14-20 feet but they never hit. Got all the fish between 30 and 50 feet down. Speed was 2.0-2.3. A beautiful day and we got our 3 man limit in about 2.5 hours.
I am sure many others got their limits too because when we returned the parking lot was only about 1/4 full. Good luck to all.
