My wife and I fished the Catawba Island green bouy which was protected from the east wind. Kept 28 nice size perch in 2 1/2 hrs. Used emerald shiners cut in half. We cut the day short to watch the baseball game. Should have kept fishing.

That is a great 2.5 hours of fishing
Best report I've hear all season! Where is the Catawba Island green bouy?
Assuming he means this guy based on the "hiding from east winds" part.......https://community.walleye.com/image/...BJRU5ErkJggg==
The green buoy is on the west tip of Catawba island. There were 5-6 other boats in the area.
Beautiful morning today on the lake. Fished from a can and several moves toward the intake. All for nothing, only 6 perch all under 7". Groups of boats everywhere, did not see anyone catching. Three groups behind me at the ramp, said same thing...marking fish but only a few dinky's biting....shaping up for a sparse winter !
