don't know if you're still following your post, but the way your fishing makes all the difference in the world. we started drifting the western basin with spinning gear and 8# trilene xl line. when we started trolling some years later we flatlined with the same 8# line. but it's to light for running inline boards or using big boards. for boards, I recommend 12# to 15# big game but Trilene XL will work.Quote:
