I was wondering if anyone is getting any walleyes in the brest bay area? I live 2hrs away, and I'm getting anxious to go fishing but don't want to waste a trip. Thanks for any info.

Brest Bay is a post spawn fishing grounds (Late April/ May). Most of the fish (90%) are in Maumee Bay to the Reef complex. Your best bet for the Bay is to Launch out of Luna Pier Harbor Club. It's a 5 mile run to the Lighthouse area. You'll see the boats packed up between Turtle Island and the Lighthouse drifting and jigging. Contact Mel or Mary to confirm water clarity conditions prior to heading over or down. Your best bet is to purchase an Ohio 3 day ticket and fish off the reef complex if your coming from a distance because of the assurance of water clarity. I can promise you more fish and better water conditions. It is an additional 1 hr 10 min drive from Monroe, MI but you'll be happy ya did. Launch out of Fenwick Marina on Route 2 before Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Plant. I live in Temperance, MI and have both Ohio and Michigan licenses. It's a must have. Remember Mich is 5 eyes and Ohio is 6.
I-75 to 280 South. 280 to Route 2 (East). Route 2 approx 20 miles. Happy Hooker Bait Shop is where to get info and bait. It is 1/4 mile past Fenwick Marina
Good Luck and Good Fishing
