Fishing was great Tuesday evening. Even with the 5 ft waves 5 miles north of Crane Creek. Don't know about now.
We were north of the island until about 7:00 and moved into this area. Fished this area until 8:30. Using 3 and 4 ounce bottom bounces and casting #5 gold weapons with 1 ounce weights. Most of the fish we caught on the weapons were by just working the harness with the speed of the boat
I heard they are catching perch near harbor light and out by shipping channel
Fished the south of the same area tonight (Tuesday). GPS 41/12. Caught between 40 - 50 walleye. Kept 7. Copper #5 blade was best followed by gold blade. Also caught about 15 catfish, very few white perch and sheephead. 8-10 count casting with 5/8 ounce weight and 3 ounce bottom bouncer 2 cranks up off bottom. Drifted between 21' of water into about 18' of water. Bottom bouncer was with a small copper Indiana blade
Late afternoon trip yesterday. Predicted south winds and 1 footers was actually NE winds and 2-3 footers when we went out. So shifted from trolling to casting. Started N of A Can halfway to Island in 26-28 feet of water, drifted west. Covered lot of water. In evening moved in to 22 feet. Caught probably 30-40 eyes. Kept 5, 15.5 to 23 inches. Had two shorties that might have made 15.5 flip off as we thought they were smaller and just lifted them in the boat (should have netted). Casting weight forwards and weapons. Parish Banana worked best for me. Late evening wind died and so did bite. Most fish caught deep near bottom, couldn't get higher bite going. Tons of mayfly balls on finder!
