Didn't get out until 3pm and bugs and biting flies chased us off by 5, but we got this hog SE of Kelley's trolling east. Harness.

I'm not questioning your report... Obviously you got a great fish! I'm just curious as to the lure in it's mouth... it doesn't look like a worm harness. Just asking. Maybe that was just a photo prop. lol

I think I saw you trolling out there. We were out in the same area, same time of day.
Dad and I went out late too. Just fished 3 hours casting. Neither he nor I felt like setting up the planer boards and gear for a few hours.
We got 2 shorts in that area, 2 catfish each, and a few white perch. Went and fished off the beach at west harbor where the breeze was a bit more (and less FLIES- god it was awful today!) and got about half a dozen more shorts plus one big assed sheephead that bent the hook on my spoon. Not QUITE my record sized barnyard animal on the lake, but at 30" it was surely in the top 5.
Nice fish in any case, about the size of the one I started the year with. Fun times!
I had a bandit on the fish cleaning table, just put it there for aesthetics. Going to run more worms this am.
