Newbie walleye help #2
Is it just too early for the walleye yet? I would like to try my luck & was looking for some general help on where. I have 2 plans right now. Launch from Mazurik's & fish Marblehead & the east side of Kelly's all the way to the boarder maybe some open water. Launch from Sandusky & fish east to Huron. Both cases would be get as big a spread as I can, cover water & watch the sonar like a hawk. Staying home & watching the Browns is not an option.
Thanks

Trolled East side of Kelly's in 26 to 36 feet water, marked several fish that should have been walleye. Caught 2 nice walleye and 1 short plus a sheep head that was the size of a Volkswagen bug . all on bandits.
Then moved North of Kelly's and marked even more.

My experience for now is that the "heard" is still further east. Deep Husky Jerks and Michigan Spoons in purple, blue and orange colors. 2 days, 3 guys 18 walleye and 30 perch 1st day and 9 walleye the 2nd day. Would have caught more but one of my buds had to come in before we got finished 2nd day. This was 2 weeks ago out of Cleveland in 28 to 32 ft of water. Going to try going out of Huron to Cranberry next week. Hopefully we will find them again.
