Walleye - Perch 08/21 08/23

I've been getting valuable info from this site this season, but this is my first post. I was up on the lake 4 times in May & June, but this weekend will be my first time back. I'm bringing 3 friends with me and would like to find some Walleye for them. I've only have experience going out of Catawba, but am thinking of going out of Crane Creek area. Two questions. Any recommendations on where to fish for Walleye and a few Perch? And second, I'm bringing my 20ft 1984 Galaxy open bow this weekend and I'm concerned about the wave reports, any suggestions on where to fish that might be somewhat protected? Crane Creek or off of Rattlesnake?
