Slow Day Wednesday
Beautiful day on the water yesterday, Wednesday. Nice slow 1-2 foot chop on the water, temp just right, high hazy overcast. Unfortunately no one told the perch. Ran to A can and wanted to try there...still way too turbid. Ran to west of west sister and sat down where some good reports have come from. Still partly turbid, but fantastic marks on fish finder. Looked like perch stacked all over the place, and tons of fish up high too. But one hour = only 1 bite, which was nice perch. Moved on out NW of W Sister and finally saw a pack way out east of the turning buoy. Stopped a bit short of pack, in finally, nice clean water. Picked at them for a while and got a few. Finally moved out next to the pack. Same thing. Spent rest of day picking at them. Real slow. not even trash biting. 2 guys + 8 hrs = 28 perch. Guys at fish cleaning said everyone was complaining yesterday. Still beautiful day to be out, except coming in, south of west sister, algae was so bad looked like boat was throwing green paint!
