Beautiful Day out on the lake today. Me and my dad who is 76 years old went out with a good friend and he put us on some yellow bellies. Didn’t have to go far at all. We left Meinkes east about 8am. Headed 1.5 miles west of Toledo harbor light and picked up 30 in 3hrs. Slow pick and the wind died down so we headed closer to the light house. Huge pack of boats. From 11am to 1pm couldn’t keep pole in the water. Finished with are 90perch at 1pm. 25lbs at cleaners. Had some good size ones along with some smaller ones. Hopefully the perch keep biting like today and we can do it again. Quick story I had 2 hook crappie rig on and went to set the hook and the hook and leader snapped off. After about a hour my friend Gary who took us out asked if anyone lost a hook after he brought up a nice 11inch perch. 😜
