Saturday Perch

Headed out to Little Pickerel reef and set up on the North side of the reef about 9:00 a.m. We had a pack of boats North of us at C Can and one South of us inside the reefs. We were all alone other than one boat that left within 30 minutes. We had a slow bite but just as we were about to move we would land a couple of 9 or 10 inch perch and we would stay. We stuck it out until 4:00 p.m. at Lil Pickerel since we never heard any chatter on the radio of anyone doing better. Ended up with 60 perch 7.5" to 12.5" for four of us. Only a couple of sheep and 6 or 7 white perch all day. We had quite a few short perch but not the dozens upon dozens we have been sorting through the last couple of trips......it was just a slow but an absolutely beautiful day.
