Tough weekend
Wow I didnt expect the fishing to be so tough this weekend. We really struggled to get some fish in the box. I thought the weekend was.gonna be on fire.. But I was way off.. I finally.got them going sunday afternoon.. I was so glad to see some doubles and triples coming in... its about time they got hungry... I caught them on 2 oz weight with a worm harnesses back 20 to 40 feet in the deep flats off the reef complex at 1.5 mph.

We were gonna go jig by A-can and cast just north. Got over there and it was chocolate milk and 3+ footers. HD wife and daughter so that wasn't gonna fly. Went back to protection of the islands. Casted and got 2. Then put on the Skipper9 rigs and picked a few perch. I pulled my Skipper9 rig up off the bottom and put it in a rod holder to go set the anchor alarm. My son yelled Dad, your pole is bending. Pulled a 26"er on a Skipper9 rig. Would have been a fun day if the waves were less. Always afraid to get momma out in them waves. She may get shell shocked and not go back out. lol

Definitely a tough morning Saturday on the Eyehunter, however 6 BIG fish for the day for our crew weighing 41lbs at the cleaner isn't bad! First fish of the day went 29-1/2" to my buddy which was his first first walleye ever. Thanks again Jim and Sean for a great day of fishing!
