Fished Friday also west of Kellies from 10:30-3:00.Got our 18 fish/45 lbs limit.Early on the day was catching about 4 shorts for every keeper even with bandits on four lines.Started switching to harnesses on the four inline boards and put out 2 dipsys with harnesses.We trolled out of pack with all the shorts and found good marks and no boats.Between 1:00-3:00 the East wind picked up and we caught about 12 keepers and not even 6 shorts.Biggest was 28" which I thought was a sheepshead reeling in.Caught 4 others between 25-23" and rest mostly under 20". Didn't miss a pullback,but hard to legitimize that since had Alot of fish that we didn't know we had on.The best leads at end of day were tadpoles at 55 and 50 which put them down about 17 ft in the 22-25 fow and the dipsy which caught surprising number of our +20" fish was 3 1/2 setting at 40 lead.Caught almost everything on #5 Colorado with purple front and copper back.Great day to spend my 60th birthday.Felt fortunate to get into some bigger fish after reading about all the small fish.By end of day,we were all by ourselves.
