A Bunch of Newbie Questions

For the last ten years I've been muskie fishing on St. Clair & Salmon fishing on Ontario & never once made an Erie/walleye trip. I would like to give it a try so I was hoping to get a little help? I saw the techniques forum but there is so much more activity here. I plan on launching from Catawba will run 6-8 lines so I was wondering how best to set up? I have 4 downriggers but it doesn't seem like many people use them in the western basin? If I were to go today & could run 6 lines I would run two downriggers with spoons or shallow diving cranks, two dipsys with spoons/shallow cranks & jets with spoons off the planer boards? Since I don't know what I'm doing I would try a little of everything & go from there? Am I even in the ball park???

When people say stingers do they mean the standard size or the 2.25" Scorpion size?

Are water fleas ever an issue with braid dipsys?
