East harbor this weekend
Were going to be camping/fishing/sightseeing out of East harbor this weekend. Just wandering if there is still some walleye to be caught around the East Harbor area.... Kellys, south bass, etc... Would like to troll a bit and we will likely drop a line or two for some perch. Taking the family out though the primary goal will be to tour the islands, but I would like to get the kids onto a couple of fish. With that being said what is the age limit and fishing requirement for kids 12 and under. Can they just catch a few and keep them under my license limit. Were not planning on filling the boat, just want to land a few.

Kids under 12 must wear PFD and under 16 can fish and keep limits as long as they are with a licensed adult.

My kids as example are 3 and 5. They can bring in their own perch and walleye with help on the pole. That being said they can't bring in 6/30. So I feel safe counting them for a few perch and 1 walleye each. Now my newphew is 10, I had no issue counoting him for a full limit, he is total able to handle the gear himself. So I guess use common sense. Most if time I haven't heard too much issue unless ppl are counting really young kids for full limits

I could be wrong but I thought it was kids under 10 had to where a life jacket if the boat is under 18'. Not 100% sure just what I thought. All kids wear one on my boat regardless.

I will have them in life jackets regardless.
