First Report of 2014!!

Finally made it out to fish yesterday afternoon for first trip of year. First time out of channel grove marina so I have to say thanks to the reel sport team for putting me on some fish. Fished between green island and Rattlesnake island. Pulled 12 walleyes all casting. best bite came on gold bladed erie dearie or weapons between a 5 and 15 count. Got bumpy for awhile, but managed to survive. Hit the water around noon and got off the water around 6 pm. caught a lot of junk fish. never got dull for sure. also release a few short fish.

I have been trolling for the past few years but if this bite keeps going I might just have to get the old St. Croix out and cast for some too. It is nice to feel the fish and enjoy a engine free drift.

Nice catch troy, glad mike help you out, also glad your our dock partner, now just leave them big bluegills in front of your boat for me, Reel sport will be back on the water first thing in the morning, we will see what we can due after that big mayfly hatch. Wayne and Capt Mike 419 265 2736
