outdrive update

well I tore the outdrive appart several weeks ago and the main bearing in the upper half of the drive failed, it sent debris which caused the gears in the upper half to fail. The lower half was fine and the unit was full of oil. I have about 800 hours on the outdrive, its an alpha 1 gen2. A rebuild kit that contains all of the bearings, gears and shims and gaskets runs about $900.00 bucks. It's a no brainer I can purchase a complete upper half fully assembled sei after market drive for about $800.00 with a 3 year warranty. For $1500 I can get both halfs. I will post how the repairs are going. Hopefully I will have the repairs done by April.
