Casting just north of Starve Island

Ran all over the lake yesterday looking for a hot perch bite...not much luck. While rounding South Bass some charter boats caught my eye drifting just off the island and north of Starve island. Just off a grey apartment/resort looking building. Went to investigate and saw nets going into the water constantly from the three boats. My brother and I threw on our walleye rigs and pulled right in there. Kept 3 around 16 inches and must have been cleaned off at least 15 in the hour we were there. The other boats seemed to be doing a lot better than us but they had a lot more rods in the water. We were in 14-20 feet of water from about 1PM - 2PM.
Never fished this spot before, curious if a lot of people frequent this location to cast for eyes.

Yes, I have done well there in the past. Many years ago we were in there to moor up for the night. Did some fishing and bam caught a few.

But it is hit or miss.
