Has anyone been out east in the huron area fishing with a decent report? We started near Lucys on Saturday and headed east/se and we caught 5 but must have caught close to 20 sheepshead. We were thinking of leaving early Saturday morning and making the trip to huron in hopes of finding bigger fish. We have been using harnesses behind 40 jets and everything I have gotten has come on a count anywhere between a 60-65 count.
Cranberry Creek Marina website typically has very reliable reports. I know fish are being caught in front of the castle as well as further west in front in Old Woman's creek as well as in front of the condos between cranberry creek and Huron river. We have done very well this time of year running dipseys with spoons, J-9s, as well as reef runner little rippers on 1 and 3 settings however have been fishing primarily around the islands this year.
