I plan on going out Saturday. We are not set up to troll, only drift & cast. Where would be a good place to start. If the walleye fail, we'll try perch?

some thing that we try sunday for an hour before storms blew us off, was to use pumpkin balls 3 oz. straight down, both side of drift, used 3 ft. worm harness and orange hammered blades,
3 ft. off bottom , couldn't keep rod in for long, 3 walleyes, lost one big one, two large fish that snap or lines, and countless
sheepheads.(pumpkin balls look like mini downriggers balls) Southwest side of west sister.

I would run to the north end of west sister in about 23F of water we did very well out there last friday. we used gold worm rigs and purple, both worked great. We ended are day with 24 for a 4 man ticket. Lots of sheepys there too.
yes 3 oz. bottom bouncer work the same, but with the pumpkin
balls there less tangles, unlike bottom bouncers that tangle
around the arm, plus bottom bouncers tend to run a little up,
but both will work, what ever you have on the boat. Just giving
an other option to help out during this though year.
