May 28 report

2 of us trolled around out in front of lakeside. Pulled a 2 man limit in a few hrs. We were pulling spoon behind 40 tt and online offshore boards. Biggest fish was 24". Best lead oddly enough was 25 back. But 40,50,60 all produced as well.

As the boats coming back and forth from the island the lake went from glass flat to taking a few over the bow. The waves made the speeds hard to maintan and was anywhere from 1.6 to 2.4. The boat traffic and heat finally put an end to fun fishing and by noon we where heading home.

Thanks to few boats that took the time to go out around the pack of boats or slowed down as they came through.

Thanks for the post. How far did you have to go out? Headed that way Thursday. Fished a week ago and our best luck was on 40's 25 - 35 ft lead with chicken wing spoon 1.7-2.1. Like you said kinda hard to keep the speed dialed in.
Got a chuckle out of the few boats that were courteous. Far a few between LOL

There was a big school there, over the weekend Eye hunter charter had several boats out each day. Seems like good hauls were had from basically about a mile out of east harbor all the way to the lighthouse, from about a mile off shore most of the way to kellies. Unless they swim away of the weather changes the pattern, you should be able to go about mile or mile and half out drop gear and go.....the speeds seemed to go up throughout the weekend
