I believe you only need a fishing license if you don't go to land(Pelee). If you go to Pelee, there is a phone booth (at least on the South side there was and I believe on the West side where the ferry's come in) where you can call in to report. I'd take your passport just in case but I plan on fishing Pelee for Walleye this weekend and don't plan to do anything except go fish (of course, I'll have my ontario fishing license)
I went over a few weeks ago with Spoontang, and we were stopped by a patrol boat and they made us show our license. They ask us to show them the second time with everyone on the boat holding them at the same time. I would get a license, it aint no joke over there!
Thanks for the info, I've got my license but some of the guys that want to go don't have pass ports. Just thought I'd check to see if anyone had onfo about that. I know they don't mess around about licenses up there .
Thanks again & good luck !!
To get into Canada, you need two forms of Gov. I.D. ie. drivers license and birth cert. To get back into the U.S., you need a passport. Customs has been giving a courtesy pass to U.S. citizens and NOT denying re-entry however you should have passport or pass card. The pass card is less expensive and gives you pass to Canada and Mexico. Check with your post office.
