Currently I'm using 30 lb Power pro with a good grade swivel clipped directly to the crank. My question is how many of you use leaders ahead of the crankbait ?

I use 15# Spider Wire Stealth main line to a small barrel swivel with about 4' of 12# floro and a crank bait clip.
I use 6' of good quality mono.
I use 20' of 15 lb. p line flouro tied directly to 30lb. braid. I like having 20' so if I have to cut and retie I can do it several times before I have to retie to my main line + less knots and swivels. Never had an issue.
I always run leaders, with cranks, spoons, harnesses....doesn't matter. Main line is 30# PowerPro, leaders are 20# Trilene XT, low vis green. 6' leaders, use a good ball-bearing swivel at the top and a good dual-lock clip at the crank....
I use 30 pound braid with a 20 foot leader of floro (seagear)tied(double uni) with a micro clip attaching the crank. I believe the 20 foot leader helps with the big fish because it adds a little stretch upon hook up. Since I started doing this my pull downs with and then gone has cut way down. I might loose two fish a day. Just my humble opinion
I always use a leader on cranks, harness, spoons... etc. 30lb PowerPro Hi-Vis Yellow, with a 6' mono leader. I may have to test out Skipper 9's 20' leader though at some point...

I also use 30# Power pro spectra attached to a spro swivel n a 7' leader of 20# Seagar then a duoloc at the business end.
