5/11 trip report
We chose to battle the waves today and it paid off. My first spot produced half the fish but I was having trouble holding my line in the strong wind so I decided to go to option 2 and found some nice fish, stained water was the key today not clear not dirty but stained. We boated this Illinois crew their 24 walleye. They are here for the rest of the week fishing in their own boat. Hopefully I gave them enough tips to be successful on their own the rest of the week. We ran bandits 70-100 back 80-85 being best at 1.7-2.2 mph. Between the islands fish are scattered.

Re: 5/11 trip report
I sure appreciate your many reports. What has been your trolling line north of Kellys Island? I used to fish with a guy who caught tons running in 27 feet of water starting a little north of Carpenter Point and straight up along the island to north of it. I'm going to try trolling off my 20 foot Grady for the first time ever and will start with two rods with bandits straight out the back. Finally looks like some warmer weather for this old man to get out. What would be your destination for the next few days? Thanks.

Re: 5/11 trip report
The fish are moving all around the lake. There is no way at this point to predict where the fish will be where I caught them yesterday there where none today.

Always enjoy your reports Capt Sam, I can tell that there is a lot to locating and putting the fish in the boat but I think you have it down to a science.
