Saturday 1 fish casting 5 nice walleyes trolling, it was a dead calm out there on Saturday. Reefrunners 100 back barenaked purple. Sunday was better fished 3 hours with my son and his friend, my sons friend likes to fish he is invited back every weekend, he caught his first walleye, he landed 3 total. we ended up with 15 drift fishing 5 count 3/4 oz. Still fishing the same area 39 32 You would not believe the number of minnows swimming around that area.
Fished just west of NW reef as well as south of NW reef. Limited with 18 eyes on Saturday. caught the first 12 drifting with hammered gold weapons, then the wind died and caught the last 6 trolling stinger spoons and wiggle warts in the 20' depth range. Caught a lot of throw back 12-14" fish as well as several 8" eyes. Minnows everywhere!
I will be up this weekend and could you be more descriptive about your location. East of Kellys or east of west sister? My sons caught 12 fishing NW of NW reef a week and 1/2 ago.
