fishing report 7-1-10

took my buddy out on a head boat in port clinton. Headed straight out 12 miles in a stiff north blow. Fished west reef in front of north bass island caught three eyes all in the 17'-18' range had one snap my line, also my pal from Tennesse caught three with his biggest being 20' which happened to be the biggest fish caught won him $26. There was a total of 16 people on board and 26 eyes caught in all. The captain took his limit of six. We were all using gold harnesses with 3/4oz egg sinker. Also I must of caught 12 sheaphead only if a few of them were eyes but all in all I had a good time with good company. Goodluck and be carefull over the holiday weekend.;)

Fished Thursday night NW of West Sister. Ended the night with only 2 walleye in 3 hours. Fished same area Saturday and caught our 18. Marking a lot of fish. Troller are having fits with a lot of grass floating in this area.

Fished just south of West Sister Thursday and Friday. Three man limit on Thursday and a five man limit on Friday. Dave's Kaboom's and Storm Rattle tots. Lots of grass floating there also.
