Dog House Insulation
I need ideas as just what to use on the inside of my I/O engine cover to cover the noise and heat it lets off. The cover is wood construction instead of glass. My last one was one of those made of a type of foam with foil. It self
destructed and left quite a mess for sure. Any ideas?

I would imagine that sound and heat stuff they use of the inside of cars floors should work.

I have thought of the material under the car hood but I was leaning towards something a bit more rigid. I will look into it. Probably any major auto store will handle it.
Thanks,

I wasn't referring to the stuff under the hood.
They make a thicker product used for sound dead in and insulation used alot in custom stereo installs and when custom exhaust is close to critical parts
