Made the run
Took the crew on my boat and Made the run to B can Sunday. Which is a 13 mile run for us Was a pack of boats set up with six head boats and a lot of charters fishing there. Ran spoons behind Dipsys and jets. 28 FOW. with fish being at 25. Confusion with a purple top seemed to be the best color. Boated 73. Yes 73 we kept count. Only boxed three 16". After doing that for 2.5 hours we decided to head in and throw the cornhole bags. Was a lot of fun and lots of action averaging 29 fish an hour. We started betting on the smallest walleye. I took the pot at the end with a 5 1/4 " I still can't figure how that thing got the hook in its mouth. Think I will go back to perching. Be safe and have fun out there.

Motor Mouth;
I am with you on the perch fishing. I don't feel that handling that many small eyes every time I go out is conductive to good fishery conservation. I am in no way trying to suggest that everyone should stop fishing for eyes but am voicing my opinion and feelings on the matter. Besides it is allot of work bringing in lines and resetting them. I am at an age that I find it more relaxing to just be on the water fishing whether it be for walleyes or perch. The shorts that I caught this last weekend will not reach the 17" length that I set as my personal minimum acceptable size for harvest until next year.
