2 of us fished for 8 hours yesterday and finally landed #12 at 4 pm. All on dipseys, mostly spoons, down 45 feet and below. Slow pick, trolling between 55 and 70 feet. Nice size fish, numerous shorts and sheep. Beautiful day on the water.

Thank you for reporting and nicely done!
Same program Sunday got us our 2 man limit 3-4 miles out of Mentor. Great marks everywhere but also huge bait balls. Fish we caught had big bellies and spit up bait fish.
Hi David,
Sweet. Nicely done again! I appreciate the information sharing. There is not a lot on the Central Basin site and zero on the Eastern Basin. I'm 2 hours due east of Conneaut. For the past 5 years I only fished the Port Clinton area. This year I did that and as usual it was good in the spring. Then it dies off when the water gets hot. Summer was incredible in the Central Basin area though. A friend in Erie said they were getting them earlier than usual there this year. He didn't personally fish his boat so I didn't ask for particulars on dates. If you don't mind, how early did you start getting them?
I'm done for this walleye season but will be regularly reading the sites and am already ready to get back into it in the spring!
Thanks again.
