    Good morning skipper9,
Me and my son live up in ortonville mi
And are planning on a few trips to erie in march and april
We have ice fished erie a few years back with great success but now we wanna bring our boat and give it a go
Weve fished alota big water but not erie, have fished the Maumee river for 15 years but wader fishing takes a toll on ya
Was hoping for some pointers (good winds ,and of course bad winds, certain launches for early spring walleye (maggies marsh or catabwa) , is it more jigging then trolling in spring )
We appreciate any info you could pass along jim and carter

skipper, I would like to bring my grandson up and fish. I come up every year on a guys trip. In fact last year you put us in touch with DJ for a day trip which really help us out teaching us trolling. Anyway, back to bringing my grandson up. Do you ever not get a full boat on a weekend? I would love to go with the best and fish. He's 13 and really into fishing. Let me know if you ever have room for 2-3 guys. Thanks in advance

Hey there Jim. Headed up tomorrow morning with my newly addicted father and his buddy. They are wanting to bottom bounce crawlers so they can feel the hit...and advice, locations or suggestions on that? I'm bringing my in-line gear for a back-up plan as well. Hearing about bandits being used atropine cone reef over to Niagra. What's been your experiences recently? I appreciate your time and good luck out there!! -Jason

Hey there Jim. I know this is
a little late for a message you sent a couple weeks ago, but I just now am seeing it! Wasn't sure how the Private Messages work on here but now I think I have got it lol. We ended up limiting after starting out slow for the first half of the day. We fished just north of B can that day heading east toward C can and southward toward little pickerel. Best marks were just north of B and most fish caught were just North of little pickerel. Fire tiger and Chartreuse Perch Bandits 60 back was the program. I can't thank you enough for all of the knowledge I have gained from reading your posts. I just started fishing Erie last year and try to go as much as the weather allows my 16ft Grumman to go where the fish are. If you don't mind I'm going to save your number and may just hafta give you a shout one day for a chartered trip or some exchange of info. My dad and his buddy are hooked now too! Thanks again and good luck this weekend! -Jason

Hello Jim...sorry to bother. I always enjoy reading your posts and taking in your information. Never really have problems finding fish but struggled dearly today. I am bringing my dad and a close family friend up for the first time tomorrow and hope to not disappoint. Do you have a couple pointers to get me started in the right direction? If not that's ok, I totally understand. I haven't found much info about today's report.

    Hey Jim,

Any advice on fishing near Kelleys? Staying on the island with my brother and dad to fish Friday thru Sunday. This is our first trip on our own. We have been out with others and have a basic idea of what we are doing but any advice you can offer would be greatly appreciated! We are fishing out of a slightly older 18ft Starcraft with 90hp main and 9.9 kicker. I have mostly DHJ 12s, Reefrunner 800s, and harnesses. I also have some perfect 10s and bandits. I have OR16 snap on weights and 4 Tru-trip divers. I have 6 off shore planer boards with tattle flags.

What type of program do you think I should set up with tomorrow?

    Thanks!
    Dan

    Hi,
My name is Steve Chandler from Indiana and I have just started to explore your National treasure. I can't believe I'm 55 and have not come over that way to fish before last year. My whole life I've been an outdoorsman and never came over to Lake Erie except for one other time when I was a teenager. Anyway I would love to have of your perch rigs to duplicate since I read they are great to use. How do I get one? My address is Steve Chandler PO box 81, Montpelier IN 47359 Can I send you an envelope with my address and stamp already on it? I would be happy to pay you for your time and effort.
    Best regards, Steve
  10. Chuck I dont have any openings but I do have days available. If I can get some people together I would love to catch some eyrs
