  1. Sorry I didn't see the notification. Siwash hooks are j hooks with a large open end you can pinch over a split ring(some spoons come with one in the package you can swap out yourself). We use 2/0 matzuo brand or any other quality hook. Attach another split ring to the lure after removing the standard hooks, so to be clear there are 2 split rings per hook on the lure before you put the siwash hook on. One last trick to increase your hooking percentage, this was learned from guys out west fishing for Salmon. Using 2 pair of plyers bend the hooks slightly up then again twisting the hooks so that the point is not in line with the shank anymore.     Hello I seen your reply take about using siwash hooks on bandits. Is this a treble hook or "j" hook? Very interested bandits tangled in nets are getting old. Thanks in advance, jim
