Now for some info that will help you out, instead of fishing so close to catawba, make the trip out to crib reef. Is slower but we have been getting g 25 to 27 pounds for 60 fish. It's a little ride but nothing compared to what you did this weekend. So save the money towing a little boat back and forth and just move for the last month so you can safely get your fish.

Please do pass the location around, it's nice not having a huge crowd to fish in. Be safe because crib reef you can actually run aground on. The marker for the reef is not on the reef. It's so shallow the bouy tender can't get any closer with hitting. So be safe it very shallow and know to eat boats. We have been fishing 14 to 18 feet. I go there and take the smaller kids to the rock pile in front of the portage. It's a easy ride for them and it's fast enough to keep them busy
