    Default Gulp Alive?

Has anyone tried Berkley gulp alive on the lake at all for smallmouth or even perch? Ive been reading nothing but good things and seeing alot of guys using them on fishing tv shows. I want to try them but im not really sure what size to try. Either 1 inch or 2.5 inch in emerald shiner color would be my guess. what do you guys think???

real minnows are cheaper, would not use gulp for perch, they will work for bass

I have been using the 6" nightcrawler with very good results. We've been using them along with real worms and they have out produced live bait on some of our last few outings. We have tried the small emeralds (1" size), the perch would hit them but not as well as live or even salted.

I was never a fan of Gulp until a trip down to the Florida Keys.
I saw the stuff on sale in slabs to cut into replacements for cut live bait !
Tried the stuff and it outfished fresh & live bait.

I've been using the Gulp minnows for Smallmouth for years now. Won't go out without em. No luck with Perch, but as others have said, live shiners are cheaper anyway.
