Garmin GPSmap 378
When I was looking to buy an entry level unit, this
retailed for around $1000. At the time, I found one heck of a
deal online and couldn't pass it up. It works great & is dead
on accurate. I really do think it has even saved me gas money
compared to the old Apelco I had.
Pros: easy to use, thousands of way points, add on sounder works great
Cons: screen size is small, slightly too big with an annoying cord for the car,
is DSC compatable but can only accept one input at a time. So
when you buy the optional sounder you have to switch between
DSC & sounder.
Unk: Unknown how well it works with XM & Radar..
