Myself and a couple guys were thinking about running east and give it a try for something new. We were looking at this weekend but we're not sure if this is the best time or not. I see posts about the marina being dredged. Is that the only access around or is it still open? Any ice left that far west? Just looking for a little info to see if its worth the trip of if we would be better off staying this way and pound the walleye again or maybe try perchin somewhere between here and there. Thanks for any help.
Dunn, like Copo says Cattaraugus better choice. Most boats going out of NY state launch at end of Allegany Rd. town of Hanover launch opens 5/1 from what I was told, dock ramp not in yet as of today. Launch fee at Hanover includes fish cleaning station when it opens.

was out perch fishing yesterday , pretty rough for a 14' boat with 2 200# guys in it. Ended up with 52 perch also caught 3 walleye that were released. The walleye were caught on crappie rigs with the first 2 caught as a double! Seems like it might be a good year for 'eyes.
