    Default CATFISH.....How big do they get in Lake Erie?

    Caught one that weighed 17 pounds. I'm sure they get much bigger. What is the largest you've seen from Lake Erie? World record is 58 pounds in 1964. NY record is 32 pounds. Can not find a record listed for Erie.

    What species of cat? Channel is what I'm assuming your talkin about. Flatheads get huge. So do blues. I've personally seen flat heads that dwarfed a 30lb flat on a stringer. Bet they went 100lbs. Mouths about 12" across. And that's in Lake Erie by 18 mile creek.

    Yes, I was speaking Channel Cats. Are you saying there are Flatheads in Erie? Just wanted to know how big Channels get in Erie.

    we caught a channel about 25 lbs off Meyers reef 4 yrs ago.... hell of a fight

    Yes there are flat heads in Erie. And they get big
