Lead core, 5,7,10 has been the thing, dipsy's sometimes. Modified stick or body baits, shallow runner style, purple-silver, black-slver. Have ran only one harness, one trip this season. We are newbies to Lake Erie walleye trolling, but the presentation is workin for us. Lucky I guess.

Dipsys have been our number one producer this year. Not sold on copper yet. Ran it a few times and still seem to prefer lead core. Copper does have its advantages however when it comes to achieving depth.

I guess I'm staying hush. Was using leadcore first, but like you indicated, not deep enough to Lake O which is our primary fishing. With that being said, we use more copper than core. Thank god there isn't a use for 400 and 600 copper for eyes.

They all have their own time and place on the lake. I don't believe one program works everyday from April thru November. My wife compares my fishing gear to her shoe closet, something different for every situation.

well stated, ( versatility)....My wife has the shoe thing going on also, so when she ask why so many rods and reels I ask why so many shoes, you can wear only one pair at a time, I can use three rods per man at one time.

I'm fairly new to this walleye fishing but here's my 2 cents, I prefer jets and snap weights in spring, changing to dispys and torpedoes. I just started using torpedoes and I'm impressed. Seem to be very accurate and repeatable, think there my new favorite. I just seem to have a hard time finding the fish... Been a long month, very little success.
