Went for coyote hunt with dogs for the first time ever over the wk end. Saturday the dogs worked 3, I missed 1 at 100 yds with the shotgun, looked closer until I walked down to see were it was running & I did the same on Sunday on a red fox! A buddy also did the same as me on sat. One guy in the group did get a nice male yote on sat. about 40#,s with a 222 cal. On Sunday the dogs worked 4-5 fox and they won with no kills. Plan is to try again next wk. end. Had a good time.

was that hunt out of north java i know a couple of guys out there with dogs they been asking me to go but i dont know if i can keep up with them /was the sonw deep ?

That sounds like fun. What you needed was an assault rifle. You would have had ur yote. Lol. I want to eradicate some yotes. I'm missing a duck mysteriously. Waiting for the fox to come back n try n get my chickens again. I know where the den is. So they come back n ill go pick them off too. Bailey said there's a bunch of yotes out by him. Most farmers and horse barns would love to have people shoot yotes for them

Hunted in bennington & strykersville area off boughrs rd. Snow was only 3-4 " deep we did quite a bit of walking. I slept well sunday night

Thats close to fishkiller territory there. Not to far off his beaten path. I live in alabama swamps and yotes make a good amount if noise at night here sometimes. During deer season i was hunting close to steam show in alexander and one morning i bet i heard close to 15 yotes talkin just before sun up. Was erie kinda yhey wete calling in every direction. The most I've heard at one time sure it was more than that but i'll give a low number.

I know its close to Fishkiller we did hunt off one of the snowmobile trailes. The yotes do give a chill up your back when they howl & bark. I have called 3 in with calls & got them, thats fun.

They were howling and yipping like crazy last night behing my house about 11:30.
