I have seen a number of them. Most small and unassuming, from a distance they look nothing more than a cloud. I saw 2 big ones in Long Point bay a few years ago. They made me nervous.
Weather looks good later in the week. Hope they are right for a change

I've seen several beautys on lake o . Look like mini tornadoes lol. A few years back there were 4 within a mile or so of me. But fishing was good stayed out till winds got nuts. My buddy who fishes there regularly said i was crazy get off lake now. Lol. I wouldnt recomend messing with them but charters stayed out also. Sure they could ruin your day.

From DEC website for 9/21 to 9/28:
"Anglers continue to report fantastic yellow perch catches on Lake Erie"
Did they talk to one boat who was out during all this crappy weather?

Hey joe we did over at the oak my nephew lost the 2 we hooked had 8 other bites. One pf the ones he lost straightened the hook and other came off about 10 min into the fight he did good for 8 yrs old. He was funny asked for help but did good and when 1st come he explained how his heart was beating and he never felt a fish like that summed it up by saying it was like tug of war. Hope to try again this weekend with him. With luck he'll get an arm burner over 25# .

A friend of mine went out today about the same area and caught nothing but small ones. He was marking lots of fish.
I see that the lake is down to 65 degrees, thats 10 degrees cooler than the last time I fished, I'm wondering if the bigger perch are moving shallower.
If anybody runs into anything decent sized, I would be interested in knowing how deep you were. I'm planning on going out sat am, can't wait!!

Went out yesterday in 2fters & they just got bigger.Fished in 64- 68fow to the west of SP. got a few mostly small ones .got 3 nice ones 12" in 3 hrs and that was it . Waves got 3-4 ft. & anchor wouldn't hold , gave up! Be careful going out of SP. low water & sand bar forming across harbor opening! Plan on going Sat. AM.
