Lineman, The profits go back to Japan where Toyota is headquarted, which stimulates their economy more than ours IMO.... Bottom line your free to buy what ever you please.

    Gotta chime in,
I always bought GM and had a few Fords and my parents too. Always try to buy American whatever it is when you can find it. In 2012 I was shopping a pickup and looked at another GM and then a Toyota. Even know the Toyota's had better ratings, better longevity and hold more then 20% of there value compared, I still had a concenous on the US built thing. That was until the day test drove a Tacoma and asked as we pulled around back, what all the frames were for? He told me in the late 90s and early 2000s Toyota had some bad Tacoma frames (rusting out) and they were replacing them or the whole truck wether you were the original buyer or not. I bought a Toyota! Don't kid yourself, None Of the Big Three Would Ever Do That Or Have Done It for there Consumers.

Greenhead, they do seem to take care of their customers a bit better than the big 3. I have a friend that only buys used Toyota trucks & he doesn't buy any with less than 100,000 miles on them & he will put on another 100,000 miles. just saying.

Thanks, but when you think about it we sit in our boats with our Yamaha & Honda motors(most any brand under a 10hp) pushing us around. We are using our Okuma & other reels, lures, nets & lines made in other countries, all kind of tough to get away from! When was the last time any of us bought an American made TV or other appliance ? I am sure all of us would buy American if we could, just another gov't. screw up! It really is a shame!
jmo. lets get back to perch fishing, good luck to all!
