All emerald shiners work for pech out on the lake. You just have to let the size of the bait tell you what size of hook to use. I was using pinheads and a #8 hook 3 weeks ago and the fish were annhilating them. Big perch feed on what's available. I'm not afraid to head out on the lake with pinheads but big minnows stay on the hook a little better.

went to FT of ferry yesterday around 11:30 AM, first try all sea weed, second throw got a good amount of Minnows, after that they got to spooky, Sun was bright water very clear, should have went there early morning, maybe better results. Did manange one full minnow bucket. Bait size not bad, bigger than pinheads. Also tried along the straight wall, bait was far out and limited in numbers, that was a no go. Fished tuesday off the Catt 67FOW half a day 50 nice keepers.

My uncles went out 3 guys they boxed 150 from 8:00 am to 11:45am. They fished the Evangola area 65ft. of water they only had 1 throw back, they got their bait from Dave's. All fish from 10"-15" range.

We also bought bait from Dave. I like supporting local businesses but Dave gave us 2 scoops and there were approx. 25 minnows a scoop instead of 50 or 60 like he said. Lucky we were able to get the rest we needed from a friend who caught his 50 and left. Dave must have run out of fingers and toes when he was counting.

We get most of our bait at Daves also, but we have noticed his count seems to be short lately also. Millers gives has a better count it seems. Also as we figured the price didn't drop down to before vhs prices when they had to buy minnows from out of state!
