Port Colborne (2012)
Patti and I got out for the first time this season. Weather reports and forecasts from Environment Canada and the US National Weather Service called for less than half meter and 1 foot waves respectively but they were 2-4' from the getgo. Gotta love those forecasts.
We took two walleye in four hours, one 3# on a yellow worm harness down approx 40 feet using a 4 oz slip sinker, and one 8# on a black and purple worm harness taken off the downrigger set at 50' and 100' back. Nothing on the small dipseys set at 3 and 150-180' back. Trolling at 1.3-2.0 mph. Both fish taken in around 60-65 feet of water a couple of miles south of the 2 mile marker. We started fishing in 50 feet but didn't mark many fish until getting into the deeper water, then got some massive marks. Nothing too hungry.
Will be out again next week.

Out on the water today at 08:00. Very slow going despite lots of marks on the sonar. Took a couple of large perch in the morning trolling 30-50 feet down on worm harnesses then one 3# walleye in the afternoon. Same location as last week.
