Ate the perch last night, they were delicious.

I also lost my first rig this weekend! A little discouraging.
I see people talking about the Seneca shoal, I know where it is but how far is that from NFTA harbor? I only have a 16 gallon tank, I don't want to get stranded, and the trolling motor would take hours to get back.

Does anyone know where I can get Navonics or Lake Master for a good price.
My 597 HD/DI combo has no contours.
I guess $600 doesn't deserve one of the most important features.

    Thanks
When catching the "Crap" fish I found out that picking your speed up a little works...Fished the Windmills Sat AM and was picking up Sheephead and silvers ... bumped it up about .5 MPH got 2 walleye... give it a shot

Capt. Joe, just kidding hope the upgrade works for you. I love my elite 7 now that I got one that works (so far). Congrats on all the wins.

    Is anyone going out tonight?
    I'm heading out after work.
I might not make it to the lake if the waves are too high.
If that's the case, ill hang out in the south gap and go for some bass.

Well my HDS5 is on it's way to San Diego, I understand that it should be there on Thursday, Milt I do have the Navionics Gold chip to use in the new unit when I get it. I bought it last year and used it in the HDS5.

Fished this morning with my son. Limited out at 11:30 AM. Caught, measured and weighed a 30" 10 pounder. Had a bad lamprey mark on the side. Handled it gently. Took a few pics and put it back in the lake. Fished Meyers Reef. Water was a bit off color. The fish were on top of the reef all morning. Bottom bouncers and worm harnesses.

    Default Wrong Style Of Fishing

I went out last night, and only got 2 small sheep head.
Would anyone be willing to take me out and give me a lesson or two?
I'm using bottom bouncers with harnesses, and dipsys with harnesses and spoons.
    Have stick baits been producing?
I have yet to try these.
My harnesses never seem to stay on the bottom regardless of speed or weight.
My dipsys only go straight, neither of them pull to the side.
I'm also having a difficult time tuning the tension on the release of the dipsy.
Its either too hard and wont release, of too soft, and pops prematurely.
I would really like a lesson if someone has the time.
I'm slipped at the NFTA if anyone is there also?

    Thanks

For me not many fish came off stick bates. The dipsy can be tricky. Set the tension screw to the pressure you want to release it. Sometimes it's molded to tight and you nay have to file or adjust it. The bottom of the dipsy has a adjustment for left or right.you want to make sure it's in the right side of the boat and tightened. Sometimes the current will pull it. It may appear that it's going behind but UT's off to the side.

I know about the L or R adjustment, I have those correct, just doesn't look like its operating correctly.
I might try to file the release gap a little, this might work.
I'm using a #0, is that too small?
I'm using it at the "3" setting for L & R, and according to the chart, for 35 FOW with the O-ring, 220' of line out is needed at 2.5 knots. (2.9mph)
I'm trolling slower than that, roughly about 0.8-2.0 mph, so I'm assuming 200'-210' of line out?
    Should I get a #1?
I think #3 is way too big, am I correct?

    Thanks
