Bailey your always welcome but apparently you did?n't check the marine weather for today. Gale force winds and 10 - to 12 ft waves are forecast., Can't you tell it's the; weekend and I'm off. Have fun with the mixer.

Capt. Joe , 8 -10 footers make for a nice drift, fast enough to make the lures work nice.

I was getting the 12 wave report from the open water erie report. I saw that they never got that big. But there was a lot of wind damage around Buffalo yesterday. I wonder what it would be like out there with those winds? I went to the antique boat show yesterday between the raindrops. Many beautiful kept up & restored boats were there. Another windy day for lake Erie.

The weather buoy did say 4.6 ft waves. That would probably = at least 9.2 ft waves from crest to trough. What a day for drifting. You could cover a good distance in a short time.

Yeah I agree on that doubling the wave buoy from crest to trough for "actual effect". When you are out there in boat that's sure as heck what it looks and feels like. Then you have that occasional wave doubling effect when two waves combine, always a fun one haha. And I haven't even been out in anything white knuckling yet. Don't plan to either, but I guess most of those aren't planned...
If it calms down this week I may sneak out with wifey for perch during the week.
