Walleye Meeting Thursday! :)
I make them for scratch I got my gramother recipe I don't like store bought imo
Oh yeah pirogies yum I make my own when ambitious, my filling add ins are a mixture in any combination of green onion, garlic, chedder, bacon, sour cream, ham and of course more traditional with sour krout. Now I'm hungry.
While the food topic is rolling has anyone ever eaten white Fish that wasn't smoked, if you have how was it. I was told it's good, just wondering. Quite a few were caught on Erie this winter.
All I've ever heard of white fish is they were better than walleye. I would guess thats why they were one of the species that were systematically over fished and almost eradicated from the lake. I found a great read Googling them last week and it listed others that went extinct in the lake do to over fishing I believe blue pike were 3rd or 4th on list that was lost.
This one has numbers that make you say wow especially for the size of the lakes.

Caught white fish in Canada and Michigan. Very good eating imo
very good reading and also sad. Goes to show let the commercial netters do as they please and they're wipe out everything, same with big oil and gas fracting, take till there's nothing but waste land. The lake Erie windmill fight is on the horizon. Are you ready to fight for the Lakes survival.
I remember my father getting smoked white fish at a fish store in Dunkirk right on Rt.5. It was GOOOD! :D
Meeting tomorrow.
Hey Barry didn't you see the posting by fishkiller if you purchased more than $50.00 at the sportsman's show he will be buying at the meeting, time 5:00, must have been in small print:)

Welcome Chopper. :D You don't know what you got yourself into. I used to be a quiet shy guy that didn't post much. Now because of the rest of this crew edging me on I became what I am today. Whatever that is???

YES SIR - Captain Jim.
Sitting here at Kodiak Jacks watching Copo's band, at least he sings better than he fishes.....lol:eek:
Copo - I was there in spirit. I was thinking about it but couldn't put a plan together. Are you quitting your day job:confused: become famous? And forget about all of us little guys. buy a huge boat? Sail all the oceans? Do you need a crew? :D
I've been thinking about getting into leadcore for a while now and have decided it's time to breakdown and do so. From what I read I don't think I will be disappointed. Typically fish Buffalo to Sturgeon Point (2 times/week) and occasionally run down to Sunset Bay or Dunkirk (2-3 times a season). What # of colors? Rods & Reels? Can it be run off inline boards? Please enlighten me :D.
