Good info. guys.
We need a west wind to bring bugs this way. Two Sundays ago there were so many of those small nuance bugs flying around. they were in your nose, mouth, ears, eyes, and all around your whole body. But i guess they were the wrong bugs.
I've been seeing pics of Canadians getting nice eyes west of Port Colburn. 62 fow.
Went out of SBH on Monday afternoon with my son. Went from in front of the windmills 35fow for a while, nothing. Turned right and trolled West out to the destination buoy and out to 50fow. Things picked up out there. 7 silver bass, one 18" eye and lost a slob at the boat. Silver bladed harnesses, 3 color lead with a 1 oz. trolling sinker.
Trolled out of Dunkirk today. Tried west of harbor first, 60 to 70 fow. Lead core 3,4,5,7, harnesses, renoskys. Two silver bass in 3 hrs fishing. Pulled up and trolled from Purina to Center Road with Lead core, then jets and dipsys, then rapala deep tail dancers. Never raised a fish. Marked a group of large fish in one location but no takers in three passes over them. I feel like my but got kicked today. 7 hrs of quality alone time I guess. Didn't see anyone else going for the net either. Would love to hear how you guys are doing lately. Any tips appreciated.
Heading out in am from sbh, will update afterwards
