Heres a link to tattle flags. http://perchjerker0.tripod.com/home%...le%20flags.htm
I pull big boards most of the time but like the inlines if only 2 guys on the boat. Thanks for the link, I did make my own last yr.
Should start a thread of useful links with no discussion i know there are a bunch on this thread. I figure its good to post it because someone will want it lol. I was even thinking if you knew pulling pressure a jet has you could tune boards at home with small scale so flag is good to go. I may tattle my inlines but i can read them now.
Just heard the sound i haven't heard since fall, both motors fired and purr like kittens 6 pulls on kicker and second turn of the key on the main. Let both run about half hr each no problem. Now just need some weather cooperation. Depending on Fishkillers plan for sat if we don't go for our planned ride around buff, there could be a shake down in irder on lake o. Rest of today and fri nw winds 15 to 20 gust 30 and sat light wind then south to 15 mph. That means mudline will be great and browns should be there.
I just seen that the water temp is up to a balmy 33 degrees. There was a lot of ice in Woodlawn bay today. I was at Bedrock watching the sunset. :p
Going to try perching Sat Am. out of the Catt. We'll see what happens.
good luck out there keep us posted. with the colder water they may be right on the bottom and tough to mark look sharp
Lineman49 pm sent.

Oh Boy!
oh no!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Cuomo will put a protection on them and ban everyone from killing them.
Bailey, got no PM message. Fish report, marked fish on the bottom but no takers but one 4"er. Other guys about the same. One guy got 4; 11"-13" that was best report I heard. There is one dock in at SP water level was ok in the harbor but was 3' just out side the wall enterance. Worker there said they may start dredging this coming week. Anyone else out & do any good?
Asian carp, no guns or ammo, might as well buy a rocking chair to sit & watch the grass grow!
Asian carp write up in art voice. Made the cover. Haven't read it yet
Lineman: Did you notice if there were a lot of minnows / shiners around the SP launch (like last year)? I am thinking of trying to get out for perch this week, and it would be nice to dip for shiners at SP vs. making a special trip to the river.
Thanks,
Joe
Alaskan Joe, There was a guy with a net & I saw him get a few. I looked off the dock that was in & did not see many. None of the other docks were connected to the shore line so you wont be able to get on them. Also FYI, a friend was questioned at the Sheridan dr. launch by the DEC. about taking minnows outside the corridor (sp?) & having quite a few.
Isn't that area within the corridor? Also I don't think there is a limit on the number of minnows either.

Scroll down for baitfish area, also there is a link showing the map of the corridor.
launch ramps are in and docks are starting to go in at the sbh but they have the trailor parking block off fishing season is almost here

I talked with one of the workers Thursday PM. & he said the launches will be open from this week end & the "A" lot (near Dougs Dive) will be ok to park in. They are keeping the other lots closed for now so people don't get in the way while they work. Also , good size perch are being caught inside the SBH! I'll be there! :D

stopped by the harbor this am 4 boats out couple of guys on the dock only thing i saw caught was a nice rainbow but that ended up badly guy broke his rod by the time i left at least 12 trailers in the lot/ water is prety dirty /they are putting the docks/ heard of a guy getting a ticket for fishing the outer wall
they are launching out of the sbh some docks are in time to get the boat out
I had one of the boats out of the SBH today. I was out for a few hours. The water was like chocolate milk, and the fishing was very slow. I spent most of my time fishing inside the South Gap. There were a lot of fish on the graph, but no takers. Still, it was great to get out.
Everyone be careful out there. I drove by the harbor yesterday and I seen ice cubes still out there. BIG ice cubes that could do some damage. :(
I never liked the movie titanic any way lol
I would like to get out this weekend.
Someone better be out there today! Nice day! I would be if not for Dr. appoint. :(
To many retired people on this site makes us working folk unhappy. Ha ha guess we just have to work twice as hard on days off to get better numbers than you lol. Especially fishon51, lineman and maybe soon to be captainjoe.
Yesterday I went to Fort Erie to buy some good gas for my 2 cycle Evinrude. I should be good till July. Canadian gas has no ethanol added and that is better for engines of all types. Mercury Outboard did some testing of 15% added ethanol gas and had disastrous results. Also ethanol has less specific energy than regular gas. I use 100:1 mixture ratio.
L Erie H2O temp now 40 deg (4/18), so I will wait till late May unless someone here starts to talk about the walleye bite. Good Luck to All.
SWA Meeting tonight! :D
Crabb oil in arcade has non ethanol gas in high test.
40f. Those eyes are gettin it on as I type. :)
