Hi, I am new here, Fyi ,my buddy fished out of sturgeon pt. 2 wks ago for perch. He had no problem getting his 20' over the sand bar at the enterance. He fished from the pt. to evangola wall in 20'-60' fow marked all kinds of suspended fish but did not get 1 all day. That was the day before the big blow, maybe had something to do with the 0 catch. I fished the lower Niag. that same day got 0 along with everyone else. I hope with the warm weather/no ice that the launches & docks open early this year. I know that Sturgeon pt. didn't open until the 2nd wk. of walleye last year.

Another place for Perch was at Ontario St. In the Black Rock Channel right where the channel runs along the 190, almost across from the Chevy plant. I drove to West Marine on Niagara St last weekend. I took a ride by the launch at Ontario St. There was some small logs & twigs in the launch / ramp area. If you wanted to launch there you would have to move them. I didn't see anyone fishing in that area.

I just was by Sturgeon Pt. Yes there is one launching dock in the water. There was one truck with an empty trailer in the parking lot. I could not see where the boat was. It was a single axle trailer.
