Work is a wonderful thing i just got home tonight like 10 min ago. Gotta make hay when the sun shines so to say. I am not complaining i like hrs i am a fool like that. Its better than a layoff at this point I've got work thru the end of feb. I am in roch at roch optical then to gram mfg and may end up at fbi offices in Syracuse to yet seems how my homeland security clearance finally came thru today

Not last night I was still out in the garage working on the sleds untill 10:30. We're going to Old Forge in Feb. and my suspension is beat, thats what happens when you constantly ride it like you stole it....lol :D

OH YEAH THE SURF WAS UP. The waves were coming over the break wall from the south gap to the north gap. The weather buoy is not working, it's down until the shipping season starts again so there is no good info that measures the waves. Now the cold is coming.

OK - I'm looking for reports on ice fishing. Where's everybody been? Bailey you have been looking for this cold weather and ice. How does concrete flow in this weather? Add a little more calcium? :rolleyes:
Yeah joe calcium helps bur when its this cold freezes up like an sob on chutes, even though coming out if the truck over 70* . The last month or so i have been playing block mason and demolition man lol. Although we did put 150 yds in a fuel tank in n tonawanda on the 11th it was a good workout for mid winter. I know sbh has 5" good ice but dink perch. Silver just set up good yesterday but fish didn't cooperate i am waiting for a little warm up to get out kinda hard to motivate yourself to go play in these temps when you work in them all day. I may get out Sunday but not sure trying to find iut how oneida is right now.
My koi pond has good ice on it. Lol. They're hanging around the hole in the ice where the jet pump is. So tempting. Haha
Smelt should be moving into the sbh soon.

Just looked over there and thia was up lol TJ Resturant and motel cleveland ny 315-675-3546, bait right down the road. I stayed in cabin 2 miles up from godfrey pt but not even sure if they rent in winter. Plus owner was pricky.
Some friends may go down this week, Tuesday and Wednesday. Rain and warmer temps those day, not a good week for me to head down there anyways. but the following week when ice tightens up again that could work for me. Been a long time since Ice fishing O, never forget the first trip down there. Started off on a Friday at 3:00 AM fixing trailer lights under a street lamp in Woodlawn, started fishing O at 10AM, fished all day Saturday and half a day Sunday. Three of us came home with over 500 slob Perch, no limit back then. did better on the perch end of February.Quote:
