Anyone have any luck with the walleye yet on Erie out of Buffalo? Recently moved back from SC and just starting to get set up for trolling and was hoping for a few pointers. My father fished for Leisure Charters for years on public access for walleye on Erie, but is no longer in the area so need some help! Everyone on here seems very knowledgable and I would appreciate any advice on where to go or at least where to start. Thanks for all your help!
I'm sure you'll get some pm's of locations and such but general night bite is Woodlawn bar and hamburg beach area, troll stick baits, j-11 or j-13. Colors vary by people but I run either blue/silver, fire tiger, or chartreuse/silver. Sometimes with a piece of worm on front hook. Or I jig for them around the bar. Just head out south gap at night, hang a left, look for all the boats and get in line.
Thanks for the advice! I may head out tonight if the weather holds off. I was going to run worm harnesses, do you think thats a bad idea or not worth it?
8 away warming fast!!!!
50 and going up. :)
that's how many pitches that I have to throw to get three outs. :D
